Covid 19

  • Saranac Lake Youth Sailing Program and Tuesday evening sunfish races will be offered beginning the summer of 2021. 

  • Saranac Lake operations may commence from either the Saranac Lake Marina or from Indian Carry Road at the south end of Upper Saranac Lake. Contact SAIL ADKs for details.  

SAIL Adirondacks has adopted the following protocols, as per New York State law, will be in place for all guests and crew.

  • Social distancing: Public cruises limited to 4 adult guests (email us about kids).  

  • Hand sanitizer will be made readily available to guests and crew at all times.

  • The boats will be thoroughly disinfected in between charters especially at frequently contacted places such as life lines, winch handles, grab handles, galley, head, and cockpit tables.

  • Guests and crew are required to wear face coverings while we are on board and underway. Spare masks are available upon request.

  • Masks may be removed when we are at anchor and guests are eating, drinking, swimming, etc, provided guests and crew spread out around the boat.

  • Crew members will not report to, or be allowed to remain at, work if sick or symptomatic with fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath. We will be taking crew members’ temperatures at the start of each watch with a contactless device.  If their temperature exceeds 100.4F, that crew member will not be allowed to work.

  • Guests will be asked to attest to their recent COVID-19 related health history. Guests displaying symptoms will not be boarded.
