They were able to accommodate my 90 year-old stepfather who loves sailing, but isn’t as sure footed as he used to be. They made us feel safe and secure, while still giving us a thrilling ride. My wife and I joined Captain B. on his Saranac Lake vessel for an early Autumn outing. The sun was shining and we chartered a nice course through the lakes many corners observing the orange leaves aglow. Its amazing to experience the speeding momentum of the craft accompanied by the calm tranquility of the lakes waters. The lake is both pristine and uncrowded. Captain B is a very convivial host and instructor who works well with nervous inexperienced sailors. Many thanks to Captain B and the O'Day 23 for a very special, memorable outing.
I also felt the experience was very convenient and an excellent value. The Captain provides excellent directions to the boat launch and goes above and beyond the call of duty to make the trip an excellent outing. I would recommend the 3 hour time slot for future sailors to get the full experience of different sailing techniques

What a very special and memorable experience we had with SAIL ADKS! This was my family's first vacation to the Adirondacks, and we were privileged to climb aboard the GIBRO TOO to sail on Lake Champlain. Being on the water was a really spectacular way to get acquainted with the Champlain Valley, and view the Adirondacks to our west, the Green Mountains to the east, the old forts at Crown Point, and the lovely bridge from NY and Vermont--a great area from a great vantage point! As parents with a 10 and 13 year old in tow, we were just a little bit nervous, but were immediately reassured by the emphasis on education and safety; there's a lot involved in sailing a boat of that size, but Barry and his crew know all of it, and had it well in hand! I feel like the way we were taught nautical terms and were engaged in different tasks truly generated an interest in the art and sport of sailing (my son has spoken of nothing else since) and I honestly can't imagine another trip to the region without another adventure with SAIL ADKS...well worth it, and worth repeating. Thank you!!!
